Robert George “Sparky” Novitski, 81, of Fremont died Wednesday evening, June 30, at his residence. He was born on December 31, 1928 the son of Joseph and Agnes (Lutz) Novitski. On April 11, 1953 he married Frances Markin, she preceded him in death on January 13, 1989. Robert was a veteran of the United States Army who served during the Korean War. He retired after 27 years of service, from the H.J. Heinz Co. Mr. Novitski was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Moose, Eagles, V.F.W., American Legion, R.E.A.C and the “Cooties”. He is survived by his daughter, Joanna (Roger) Ratliff; 2 granddaughters; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Rita Hotaling; 5 nephews; 2 nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Frances; and his son Tommy.
Visitation will take place Monday, July 5, 2010, from 2-4 and 6-8P.M. at Keller-Ochs-Koch-Mason Funeral & Cremation Service, 416 S. Arch Street, Fremont, Ohio. Funeral Services will begin Tuesday at 10:30 A.M. from St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fremont. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery with military graveside honors performed by the V.F.W. and American Legion. Online Condolences may be made at www.kokm.net.
